Pulpit AI leverages artificial intelligence to enhance the creation of church-related content from sermons. Designed for pastors, ministry leaders, and churches, it helps generate sermon outlines, discussion topics, and other spiritual resources more efficiently, streamlining content creation for ministry needs. To learn more about Pulpit AI and how it can help you, please view Pulpit AI by Subsplash.

Here is a brief video walkthrough of Pulpit AI by Subsplash. More details regarding each section can be found below.

Uploading Files

Pulpit AI uses your very own content to provide insight and resources; therefore, we will start by uploading a text or video file!

The article below will follow the ideal flow as a pastor uploads a manuscript in preparation for the sermon and then a video of the sermon once it's recorded. This will allow you to get the most out of Pulpit AI. However, this may not fit your process; therefore, you can upload one or multiple files in any order.

  1. Within the Pulpit AI Dashboard, drag and drop the manuscript file onto Text File or select Upload Manuscript to locate the file manually.

  2. After the file has been processed successfully, select Open to view the generated resources. Jump to Manuscript to learn how you can use Pulpit AI in preparation for your sermon!

  3. Once your sermon has been recorded, Open the Manuscript file as seen in Step 2 and select the video icon in the upper left corner.

    1. Uploading the Media File within the Manuscript will help you stay organized by grouping files from each sermon. For example, back on the homepage, you'll see one sermon (or line item) containing both the Manuscript and Sermon Media.

  4. Drag and drop the video file onto Media File or select Upload Sermon Media to locate the file manually. Congratulations, you have uploaded a Manuscript and Sermon Media!

Manuscript

Pulpit AI is a powerful tool when preparing a sermon! It can provide feedback on the sermon's structure, inspire illustrations, and prompt actions to apply the message to everyday life. Select the Manuscript icon in the upper left corner.

Resources

This section is split into four main parts focused on amplifying your content and multiplying your efforts. Pulpit AI leverages your Manuscripts to provide sermon feedback, grow disciples, utilize social media, generate outreach material, and more, all in your voice!

Structure and Flow

Pulpit AI will outline the structure of your Manuscript by producing key ideas and secondary points. If you'd like Pulpit AI to reanalyze the structure and flow, select Regenerate at the bottom of the response.

If you choose to regenerate, you will not be able to revert to the previous version. Therefore, we recommend copying the initial response before regenerating.

Illustrations

Brainstorming illustrations to reinforce your message can be difficult! Pulpit AI will produce a list of illustration ideas that can help listeners practically apply the message in their daily lives.

Application

Similar to Illustrations, Pulpit AI will generate fresh and unique application ideas that incorporate illustrative elements to enrich your content and make it more impactful.

Discipleship, Social Media, & Communications

These sections are identical to the resources found in the Video Breakdown section; however, the responses are unique to the information found within your Manuscript. With that in mind, please view the following sections for more information:

Sermon Media

Pulpit AI's Sermon Media section is segmented into two major sections: the Video Breakdown and Resources. We will walk through each section below! Select the Video icon in the upper left corner.

Video Breakdown

This section is split into five main parts focused on extracting information from within your sermon while providing organization and structure. For example, you may have gone off-script and referenced a verse not included in your manuscript; Pulpit AI will catch that and include it in the Scripture section to make it easily identifiable!

Summary

The Summary tab provides an overview of the sermon providing organization and structure.

Summary

Just as it sounds, a synopsis of the sermon will be generated! If, for any reason, you'd like Pulpit AI to generate a new summary, select Regenerate under the Summary.

If you choose to regenerate the summary, you will not be able to revert to the previous version. Therefore, we recommend copying the summary before regenerating.

Chapters

Even without explicitly saying "Chapter One" in the sermon, Pulpit AI will organize the sermon into major themes. In addition to producing a chapter title, Pulpit AI will generate a chapter summary and source a time stamp from the file.

Keywords

Lastly, keywords will be listed in the form of Hashtags (e.g., #Thankfulness). These provide insight into the words or phrases emphasized in the sermon. Clicking a keyword will copy the tag and can be used when creating social media captions, more on that later!

Points

This section will provide an overview referencing Key Points, Scripture References, and Stories shared throughout the sermon. In addition, a Title and Sermon Summary will be generated.

Title & Sermon Summary

Based on the sermon's contents, a Title and Sermon Summary will be generated. This summary will differ from the summary produced in the Summary section listed above.

The Title and Summary are great resources when creating a Subsplash Media Item!

Key Points

Common themes or phrases emphasized in the sermon will be listed here!

Scripture Reference

This list is not exhaustive of what was mentioned in the sermon. Like the Key Points, this will highlight key verses that were emphasized.

Stories

Pulpit AI will summarize stories shared throughout the message. These could be personal stories along with other situational examples such as the second bullet point in the image below.

Scripture

In this section, Scripture references will be compiled along with relatable verses that were not mentioned.

Mentioned Verses

Scripture references mentioned explicitly or alluded to in the sermon will be listed here!

Relevant Verses

Additional relevant verses that align with the main themes are listed here!

Quotes

Small phrases will be sourced from the speaker and compiled here. If you would like Pulpit AI to generate new quotes, select Regenerate at the bottom of the page.

If you choose to regenerate the Quotes, you will not be able to revert to the previous version. Therefore, we recommend copying the Quotes you like before regenerating.

Transcript

The Transcript is a word-for-word written copy of the sermon. It will also provide timestamps to note where in the sermon the words were spoken

Filler words such as um, uh, or oh are removed from the Transcript.

The Transcript can be edited if a mistake was made by Pulpit AI. Clicking a word on the Transcript will provide three options:

  • Clear: removes the word

  • Edit Word: allows you to replace the word

  • Copy Text: copies the work to your device's clipboard

You may also highlight a series of words, and this will provide a few different options:

  • Clear: removes the highlighted text

  • Copy Text: copies the work to your device's clipboard

  • Preview: plays the part of the video that contains the highlighted words

  • Generate Clip: produces a Video Clip for social media

Removing a large amount of text can affect the caption timing in the Video Clips.

Resources

This section is split into four main parts focused on amplifying your content and multiplying your efforts. Pulpit AI leverages your sermons to create clips, devotionals, small group guides, blog posts, newsletters, and more, all in your voice!

Discipleship

Discussion Questions

Click an individual question to copy it or select Copy All at the bottom of the screen to copy all of the questions to your device's clipboard. If you would like Pulpit AI to generate new Questions, select Regenerate at the bottom of the page.

If you choose to regenerate the Questions, you will not be able to revert to the previous version. Therefore, we recommend copying the Questions you like before regenerating.

Social Media

You’ll receive social media-ready content, including quotes, hashtags, and short clips from the sermon. This enables you to share messages with broader audiences on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and X (formerly Twitter), boosting your online presence and engagement. Below are examples for each platform, all generated from the same media file.

Instagram

Facebook

X

If you would like Pulpit AI to generate new Social Posts, select Regenerate at the bottom of the page.

If you choose to regenerate the Social Posts, you will not be able to revert to the previous version. Therefore, we recommend copying a Social Post before regenerating.

Video Clips

Pulpit AI will select short video clips from the sermon. In addition, each clip will receive a caption and theme to keep your clips organized (e.g., teaching, inspiration, or application). While this is done automatically, you can select specific sections for precise editing through the transcript feature.

Find More Clips

If you would like Pulpit AI to generate new Video Clips, select + Find More Clips. You will be asked to choose the preferred Caption Styles prior to regeneration.

Download

Selecting the download icon under a clip will save the individual clip to your device. Choosing Download All will save all of the clips from each of the themes: Teaching, Inspiring, Pastoral, Application, and My Clips.

Topics

Each Video Clip is given a title and categorized into one of four categories: Teaching, Inspiring, Pastoral, and Application. To give you a sense of each category, here is the title of one clip from each category:

  • Teaching: The Importance of Gratitude in Scripture

  • Inspiring: The Power of Gratitude

  • Pastoral: Combating Anxiety with Gratitude

  • Application: Practical Ways to Cultivate Gratitude

Captions

All Video Clips will include captions by default; however, these settings can be customized.

  1. Select Captions under the desired clip.

  2. The Captions Styling pop-up will provide five unique, customizable options: toggle Captions or Karaoke Highlighting and choose the Font, Size, and Position. After selecting the caption style, select Apply to Clip and let Pulpit AI do the rest!

Karaoke Highlighting is a feature that highlights each word as the speaker says it. In this example, "Christ" is highlighted as the speaker says "Christ."

Custom Video Clips

If there is a section of the sermon Pulpit AI did not extract, you can create a custom clip!

  1. If you are viewing the Resource section in full screen, select the right-facing arrow on the upper left side of the screen.

  2. Next, navigate to the Transcript section.

  3. Highlight the section you would like as a Video Clip, and select Generate Clip.

  4. Choose the preferred Caption Styles and click Generate Clip.

  5. Congratulations, you are generating a new custom clip! Feel free to close the pop-up and continue your work.

  6. Once the custom clip has finished processing, it will be available in My Clips within the Video Clip section.

Chat AI

The AI Chat feature within Pulpit AI is designed to enhance sermon preparation and content creation. It can be used to refine sermons, improve communication, and generate related materials such as social media posts, discussion questions, devotionals, and more. The Chat AI section is segmented into two main parts: the Chat AI Window and the Chat AI Prompts. Select the Chat AI icon in the upper left corner, and let's dive into both!

If a text and video file were uploaded within the same sermon, Chat AI will utilize information from both files to generate responses to your prompts!

Chat AI Window

Similar to texting a friend on your phone, this window is where you will conduct a conversation with Chat AI. Click "Start a chat referencing your sermon" to begin typing, and select the up arrow to send the message.

Chat AI Prompts

Pulpit AI provides over 15 unique prompts to help you get started! These prompts are broken into three categories Content, Coach, and Iterate.

Selecting a prompt will populate it within the chat window. You may adjust the prompt or send the message as-is. When ready, select the up arrow!

Within a few seconds, Chat AI will scan your manuscript and or sermon video and formulate a response!

Once Chat AI has finished responding, you may select the copy icon to copy the response to your device's clipboard. Just like a human conversation, feel free to ask questions based on Chat AI's response or ask a completely different question!
