Currently, Subsplash Live has certain geographical requirements for true live streams, which are streams that originate directly from an encoder. Those locations are: Canada, USA, and the Virgin Islands (both British and American). True live streaming from outside of these areas is not officially supported at this time. Customers who choose to proceed despite this limitation do so at their own discretion!
This is due to the ingest servers for Subsplash Live being located in the United States. The geographical distance can cause issues with streaming, especially if they are located farther away from the ingest point. If you do want to try streaming from outside of our supported regions, we highly recommend using the SRT streaming protocol, that is now included in all Subsplash Live packages. Here is some more information on the SRT protocol.
Note that Subsplash limits testing on streaming outside of our supported regions so we cannot guarantee an optimal live streaming experience.
This does not apply to Simulated Live Streams, where the file is loaded into the Dashboard beforehand, since it is not reliant on an internet connection during the stream.
