Download your search

Learn how to download your search results as a table or a chart.

Written by Jonathan Crouch
Updated this week

You can download your search results as either a table or a chart. For tables, you have the flexibility to download the data as a CSV (comma separated values), PDF, or XLSX (Excel) file. When you download a chart, the system will provide a PNG file.

Currently, Trends AI limits the maximum number of rows for a single download to 10M, while the standard default is 1M. Your specific system limit is managed and configured by your Subsplash administrator.

Download a chart or table

To download your search, click the More icon (3 dots), and select any of the following options, depending on your search type:

  • For a table, select Download and choose XLSX, CSV, or PDF. Note that this does not include pivot tables. Trends AI classifies pivot tables as charts.

  • For a chart, select Download and choose PNG, XLSX, or PDF.

Table formatting

When you download tables, the visual formatting in the resulting file may vary. The following table explains how different formatting styles are handled during the download process. If a type is listed as Supported, the formatting in your downloaded file will match what you see in Trends AI. Please remember that pivot tables are excluded here, as they are classified as charts.

For number formatting, the following limitations apply:

  • Auto formatting shows only the raw number

  • Locale-based thousands separators are based on locale settings from your computer in Excel or from your Google Sheets locale settings in Google Sheets

  • The currency symbol in the downloaded table may be different from what is visible in Trends AI

For conditional formatting, the following limitation applies:

  • Bold, italics, underline, and strikethrough are not supported

Date columns for tables

While XLSX files maintain the same appearance as Trends AI, CSV and PDF files may display differently. The following date bucketing types may vary in CSV and PDF downloads:
