Creating a Repeating Event

To create a Repeating Event, select "Create Repeating Event" in the top right of the Repeating Events page. From here, you can fill out all of the information for the Repeating Event just like you would for a regular Subsplash Event.

Setting the Repeating Schedule of your Repeating Event

To set the repeating schedule, first, select the start and end date and time that your event will repeat on. Once this is set, click the dropdown that shows "Weekly on..." and select what you would like as the repeating schedule for this event. You can choose any of the following options for repeating schedule:

  • Daily

  • Weekly

  • Every 2 Weeks

  • Monthly

  • Annually

You can also choose to have your Repeating Event end on a specific date, so that no instances will be created after that date.

Upcoming Events

The upcoming events section refers to how many event instances you would like to be displayed in the mobile app, website, and event embeds at any given time. So if you only want the upcoming four instances of your repeating event to be visible on your app, just change the number here to "4" and the system will continually check to make sure that only the next four repeating events are visible!

Change a Repeating Event

All instances of the Repeating Event

If you want to change some of the information on a repeating event that applies to all of the existing instances of that Repeating Event, navigate to the repeating events page and click into that Repeating Event! From here, you can make any available edits to the Repeating Event and it will apply across all the existing events.

One specific instance of the Repeating Event

If you want to change one instance of an event without changing all of the Repeating events, just navigate to the "All Events" page and click into the specific event you would like to change. From here, any changes made will only edit the specific instance of that event and should not affect any of the other Repeating Events.

Registration

Currently, you are not able to set up Registration on a repeating event so that every event created will have registration. However, you are able to click into the specific event instance from a Repeating Event and use the registration feature for that instance! This will be set up just like any other event registration, which you can see how to set up here!
