We recommend creating a starter app that captures the vision of your organization and meets the app review requirements as quickly and as easily as possible. In this article, we'll show you how to create our favorite three tabs to provide the most bang for your buck.

Tab #1 - The Home Tab

The most important tab in your app is going to be your home tab. Serving as a landing page and a go-to page for your users, the home tab is going to be the place where you get to curate some of your most important content that you would want to engage your users with.

While you have full control of what you wish to put on your home tab, here are the three basics we recommend just to get your app ready for submission to the app stores:

Tab #2 - The Media Tab

Built to deliver your media content, this tab is going to be your go-to delivery method for any media content you wish to deliver to your users! Pulling automatically from the Media Library, as soon as you publish a media item, it'll appear in this tab. To meet the app review requirements, you will need at least 5 media items with playable content in your app. We recommend only focusing on the first 5 for the sake of getting your app submitted quickly. You can always upload any other content after your app is approved by the app stores!

Don't have 5 media items to meet the app review requirements? Our Bible Tab has audio playback built-in, which means that creating this tab and naming it "Audio Bible" will suffice to meet Apple's requirements! Remember, you can always update the content of your app at a later date if you wish to remove this tab or add media content in its place.

Tab #3 - The Events Tab

Keeping your church members up to date on any upcoming events is important when working to create a tool that is engaging and useful. To meet the app review requirements, you need to populate your events tab (if you choose to use one) with at least 3 events that are at least 4 weeks out from your app review date. This is to ensure that none of your events expire by the time the app stores review your app.

To meet this requirement quickly and easily, we recommend creating events for the next 3-5 major holidays. You can always add other church-related events once your app is approved by the app stores!

Bonus - The Give Tab

If you use Subsplash Giving as your donations processor, you have the unique ability to quickly create a tab dedicated to Giving. Our system already knows your account, all you need to do is create and publish a giving tab and your users will be able to begin giving with ease!

That's It!

With these 3-4 tabs in place, your app will be ready for the app review to submit your app to the app stores! Head over to this article to make sure your app meets the review requirements and to request a review.
