Keywords will help users find your App in the App Stores. When creating your list of keywords, separate each keyword with a comma. Since there's a 90-character limit for keywords, it is best to conserve space by using shorter, more specific words, and remove any spaces around the commas that separate your keywords.
Also, it's worth mentioning that the keywords don't rank as high as the App Title, which is what people will most likely be using to search.
What are some best practices for creating keywords?
Be specific to your organization. If you are a church, you should avoid generic terms such as "bible", "church", "Jesus", etc. because they're too vague. Providing the names of your city, organization leader, or other organizations/ministries you're associated with is more helpful.
Words in your app title don't need to be included as keywords.
If your organization has an abbreviation that isn't in your app title, it is helpful to include this as a keyword. A church with the name "House on the Rock, Stavanger" might include the keyword "HOTRS" or "HOTR", or both.
Consider adding common typos, misspellings, or alternate spellings of your organization's name. If your app title is "Ekklesia Ministries", adding the keywords "ecclesia" and "eclesia" is a good idea.
Words like "a", "the", "of", "and", "for", and "to" won't impact search results. It’s best to use that space for more relevant keywords.
Numbers can remain as digits. Ex: "7" instead of "seven". This will help to save space.
Keywords are not case sensitive.
Example keywords:
Example keywords for an app named "House on the Rock: Stavanger" lead by Pastor Josef Hvaen near the city of Bergen, which has a youth ministry named "Ecclesia Youth":
hotr,hotrs,josef hvaen,stavanger,bergen,ecclesia,youth,eclesia
