When your app is live in TCA, your users simply need to download the app from their app store, search for your organization by name or location, and set your app as their home app. From then on out, any time they open TCA, it will be your organization's content that is front and center! With the ability to add favorites, your users can also curate a list of their favorite content from other churches around the world.

Finding your Church in The Church App

The Church App is a great way to connect with content from many different churches. But what if you want to find your church specifically?

When you get started in The Church App, you'll be able to search for your first church by name, location, or both. This will automatically be saved as your Home Church and be the default content shown each time you open the app.

From the header of the app, you can search for further churches with the magnifying glass icon. This will allow you to access the content from these other churches, and if you move you can make a new church your Home Church.

FAQ

How is this different from a custom-branded app?

While The Church App provides many of the same great features as a custom branded app, there are a few differences:

  • App Icon - Your users will see the TCA icon, instead of your custom app icon.

  • App Name - The app will be called "The Church App"

  • Subsplash Messaging - If you've paid for the Subsplash Messaging feature, your messaging will not be available in TCA.

  • Developer Accounts - Viewed by most as an upside to TCA, click here to read more!

Who should use The Church App?

Other than those clients who have signed up for a TCA-only package, TCA could be of benefit to custom-branded packages as well.

With The Church App, you can make your custom app content available to your users without the need to acquire or manage Apple and Google developer accounts, which are required by both app stores to launch a custom-branded app. Additionally, you get to bypass the app store review entirely! With a quick internal review on our end and a click of a button, your content can be live and accessible for your users with ease!
