Only the account owner can verify the organization. If your account owner no longer has Google Play Console access or cannot be contacted, please reach out to Google Play Support by clicking "Contact us" at the bottom of the page.

Before You Start

Make sure you have the following information ready:

1. Personal Identification (to verify your identity):

  • Driver’s License

  • Passport

  • State ID

  • Green Card

2. Your Organization’s DUNS Number

(Can’t find your DUNS? Look it up here: DUNS Lookup)

3. A Document for Your Organization:

(Any one of the following)

  • A letter or notice issued/stamped by the IRS (e.g., CP 575 confirming your Employer Identification Number (EIN))

  • A copy of the organization's Form 8871, 8872, or 990 from the IRS website

  • A state-issued certificate of business registration or incorporation

  • Your organization’s most recent SEC filing (Form 10-K, 10-Q, or 8-K)

  • A business credit report from Experian, Equifax, or TransUnion

If you do not have any of these documents paying for a credit report can be easy way to obtain the documentation you need.

FAQ

Why is Google having me create a payments profile?

Google refers to profiles as “Payment Profiles.” The profile is used only to verify your organization’s information and not for payments or monetization.

Why is Google asking for my driver’s license?

This is a standard fraud prevention measure.

Why isn’t Subsplash handling this process?

Subsplash is not the account owner of your Google Play Console. Subsplash only has admin permissions, and Google requires the actual account owner to verify the organization.

Why is Google asking for a $25 fee?

Google does not charge a $25 fee for verification. This is typically requested when creating a new Google Play Developer account.

How can we access our Google Play account?

Open a private browser and go to Google Play Console. Log in with the email associated with your account.

How can I find the account owner email for my Google Play Console account?

To find the account owner email for your Google Play Console account, log into your Subsplash dashboard, click "Settings", then "Developer Accounts". Select the "Edit" button under the Google section. The account owner email will be labeled "Google Play account Gmail address".

Can I create a new Google Play Developer account instead of verifying my original account?

No, creating a new Google Play Developer account instead of verifying your original one is a violation of Google's policies and could put your organization at risk of removal. If you're having trouble accessing or verifying your existing account, we strongly recommend following Google's recovery steps to regain access.
