Before You Start
Make sure you have the following information ready:
1. Personal Identification (to verify your identity):
Driver’s License
Passport
State ID
Green Card
2. Your Organization’s DUNS Number
(Can’t find your DUNS? Look it up here: DUNS Lookup)
3. A Document for Your Organization:
(Any one of the following)
A letter or notice issued/stamped by the IRS (e.g., CP 575 confirming your Employer Identification Number (EIN))
A copy of the organization's Form 8871, 8872, or 990 from the IRS website
A state-issued certificate of business registration or incorporation
Your organization’s most recent SEC filing (Form 10-K, 10-Q, or 8-K)
A business credit report from Experian, Equifax, or TransUnion
If you do not have any of these documents paying for a credit report can be easy way to obtain the documentation you need.
Accessing Your Google Play Console Account
Open a private browser and go to Google Play Console
Log in using the email associated with your Google Play account
Select your organization
Click “Get Started” or “View Details” if the verification deadline has passed
Start the Verification Process
Step 1: Select “Organization Account”
Step 2: Link a Google Payments Profile
Select “Create new payments profile” or choose an existing profile
Ensure that your DUNS information matches your Payment Profile exactly (phone number, address, entity name)
Step 3: Provide Your D-U-N-S Number
Enter your nine-digit D-U-N-S number
Your organization’s information will appear—if correct, select “Confirm”
Ensure the legal name and address match those in your Google Payments Profile
Step 4: Review Your Business Information
Double-check your business details and D-U-N-S number
Step 5: Provide Organization Contact Information
Fill in details for verification (this will not be publicly visible on Google Play)
Step 6: Fill Out Developer Profile Information
Input your organization’s information
Note: While Subsplash is your app developer, Google considers your organization the developer
Step 7: Review & Confirm
Ensure all information is accurate before proceeding
Verify Your Identity & Organization (Uploading Documents)
Click “Get Started” to begin identity verification
Click “Start Verification”
Upload your organization’s registration document
Upload a document to verify your identity (Driver’s license, passport, or national ID)
Note: Google requires this for all Play Console accounts
Enter the address shown on your identity document
Click Submit
Once submitted, Google will review your information, and the account owner will receive an email upon completion
If verification is successful, banners/messages will disappear from the Play Console—no further action needed
