When it comes to discoverability, all roads lead to the app stores. Your audience will find and download your app here, so use this opportunity to make a great impression and promote your organization!
Your App Store Info will be used in the iTunes App Store, Google Play, and the Amazon App Store. Here are examples of where your App Store Info is displayed:
App Store Title:
(Number 1 in the example above). The app store title will be displayed on your app’s homepage in the iTunes, Google Play, and Amazon app stores. The maximum characters allowed for an app title is 30 (including spaces).
If you enter a title that’s already in use in iTunes, a message will pop up, alerting you that your choice is taken. Even if this message does not appear, however, this does not guarantee your first choice is available. If your app store title is already in use by an app that was not live in iTunes at the time of App Store Info submission, this will not become evident until we submit your app to the stores. Your app store title could also show as available when you submit your App Store Info, but be taken by someone else between that time and the time when your app is submitted to the stores (unlikely, but possible).
Second Choice App Store Title:
This is what we will use if your first choice is already taken. The second choice title isn’t required, but providing it will speed up the submission process in the event your first choice is in use. If you don’t provide a second choice and your first choice is taken, we’ll contact you.
Short App Title:
(See above) This is displayed on a user’s home screen after they have downloaded your app and in your app’s side menu. The limit is 11 characters (including spaces).
Warning! Ensure your Short App Title is based on your App Store Title. Apple may reject app approvals if the names are too different.
Keywords:
Your keywords will not be displayed in the stores, but they will help users find your app. You might want to include the name of your pastor, your location, or other variations of your organization’s name in your keywords. For tips on choosing keywords, check out this article.
App Primary Language:
If your app’s primary language is not English, select “Other.” Then you’ll need to provide your app description in English as well as your primary language (translations are required by the stores).
App Store Category:
(Number 2 in the example above). Every app in iTunes is assigned a category. All Subsplash apps are categorized under Education or Lifestyle because there are no Religion or Spirituality categories in iTunes. App Feature List:
These will appear as bullet points alongside your app in some stores. The feature list offers a quick idea of what users will find in your app.
Short App Description:
The short description is required by some app stores, including Google Play. It’s a good way to hook your potential users as they get a first glance at your app in the stores. Here’s an example:

(Number 3 in the example above). The app description will also be displayed on your app’s home page in the app stores. Here’s an example:

This appears in the Apple TV App Store. Example:

- Watch weekly messages on demand
- Tune in for our Sunday service via live stream
- Listen to worship music
Contact URL:
(Number 4 in the example above). If you provide this link, your users will be able to contact you directly from the app stores.
