Sharing your content is made simple from the Subsplash platform whether in the app or web.
To preface, at Subsplash we take advantage of Universal Links which is a link technology that allows content to open in the app if the user has it installed, or fall back to the web if they do not.
A universal link will not prompt the user to install the app first.
Your content in Subsplash and your share links are powered by your Web App Custom URL. You can change this URL but keep in mind it will require an app update for your share links in the app to start using the new URL.
When you view your share links in texts or on social media for example you will notice we use the item's artwork and name to give a bit of a preview.
App
To share content from the app, look for the share icon within Media, Media Series, Groups, Events, and you can even share the app as a whole from the app menu. Sharing will open your device's native share options and from here you will see your standard options like Message, Copy, Airdrop, etc. Whatever method you choose will share the unique URL and if the receiving user has the app installed it will take them right to it, or to the web.
Web
Sharing from the web is identical to the above, look for the share icon and select your method of sharing.
Because you are in your browser there is the additional option of simply copying your URL and pasting it as is.
Sharing from the web does not use Universal Links as that is an app-specific technology.
