Unlisted Media is in early access. If you are interested in this feature, contact your CSM.

When creating a Media Item or Live Stream, the default visibility is "Public", which means your video will be viewable in your app and website in the Media Library, Lists, search results, and the Bible tab. By selecting "Unlisted" you can hide Media Items and Live Streams from those places when publishing, making that content only accessible via a link.

Media Items

When creating or updating a Media Item, you can select "Public" or "Unlisted". Setting an item to Unlisted will prevent the item from showing in public feeds such as your Media Library, Lists, search results, the Bible tab or in places like the Personalized Media Experience in your mobile app:

Unlisted items can still be accessed in your Subsplash Dashboard, as with Public Media Items.

Live Streams

When scheduling or updating a live stream, whether a Simulated Live (a live stream using a pre-recorded, uploaded video) or true live stream (a stream coming directly from a hardware or software encoder), a stream can also be scheduled as Unlisted. This will prevent the item from being pulled into the Upcoming Live Stream dynamic item and embed in your app and website and the Upcoming Live Stream SnapPages block. Unlisted content can only be reached via a link, which can be sent to viewers.

Unlisted Live Streams can still be accessed in your Subsplash Dashboard, as with Public Live Streams.

Sharing Unlisted Media

Unlisted media relies on a URL, which can be sent via Push Notifications, Mailouts, or linked in content sent to users. Individual Unlisted Media Items can be embedded in your website using the the embed code found in the Subsplash Dashboard along with the link for sharing. Since Unlisted Media Items and Live Streams are available to anyone with a link, we advise against using this feature to store sensitive or confidential content.
