In App

To access Messaging through your app, open your app and make sure to sign in to your profile. Next, near the upper right-hand corner, you'll see a messaging icon. Click the messaging icon to get started!

If you don’t see this option present it just means your organization has decided not to use Messaging at this time.

On the Web

Your Subsplash Groups web link can be found in your Subsplash App Dashboard. You can access this feature in Groups > Settings. On the right-hand side of this page, you will see a "Web messaging" widget that allows you to copy the Subsplash Messaging web link.

Once you access the link, you will be prompted to log in with your Subsplash App credentials (Note: Not to be confused with your Subsplash Dashboard login if they are different). This allows you full access to the Subsplash Messaging platform on your web browser, just as you would on your app!

How would I add this to my website?

Messaging can always be accessed through your Web Messaging URL so one option is to add this as a link to your navigation bar. This allows easy access for all users!

We also have other options for embedding Group Finder or adding Messaging to your site code so it operates within it. Check out Getting Started with Subsplash Web Embeds for more information.

How do I invite users to use Subsplash Groups on the web?

Inviting a user is done through the same process you would use on the app! Go to your channel and open the “Group details” menu by clicking the info icon on the top right of the Messaging window. From there, select “Members,” then click “Add people!” You can add users even if they have not yet created an account. You can learn more about Groups, in our Article Subspalsh Groups.

Viewing Conversations

When you open up Messaging you'll start off in the conversations tab. Any conversations you've already been invited to will appear here. You can select any of the conversations to start messaging or read past messages.

If you don't see any you can start a message with any user or join a group! (Direct Messages must be turned on through your organization for user-to-user messaging.)

Discover Tab

Each organization has the option to enable public groups, public groups allow anyone logged into the app to join the conversation. When you go to the Discover tab you'll see all the available groups your organization has available.
Select any group and join any you'll like!
