Trends AI learns from your interactions and helps guide your journey with useful search suggestions. These suggestions include complete, recent searches that are similar to the search you are currently building.
Usage-Based Ranking (UBR)
Search suggestions are personalized to your behavior and are highly relevant to your data. Trends AI learns which columns are most important to you, and to your entire organization over time. It uses this knowledge to rank the suggested search terms. This is called Usage-Based Ranking (UBR).
Trends AI tracks usage statistics on the frequency of search terms in its local cache. If you frequently use terms related to a specific product or to finance, Trends AI offers those suggestions more often. Using this information, frequently used terms and phrases appear in search suggestions more often than those that aren't commonly used.
UBR based on search patterns makes Trends AI more valuable the more you use it. Your search suggestions become more helpful the more searches you complete.
Recent Searches
As you type in the search bar, you'll see search suggestions that include recent searches. This helps you quickly recall what you or others have searched for in the past. In addition to displaying your own recent searches, the search bar also learns from searches made by other people. This can give you access to interesting searches you might not have considered. You can see recent searches in a separate section of search suggestions, as they typically appear higher in the list than other terms.
Auto-Disambiguation in Search
When there is more than one possible meaning for a search term, you can resolve the ambiguity by selecting from a list of choices. Once you make your selection, this choice is "sticky." This means you won’t have to select it again during the context of your current search.
Out-of-Scope Columns
Search suggestions are not limited only to the columns you have already selected as data sources. Suggestions can also include columns that are currently out of scope. If you select one of these suggestions, the columns will automatically be added to your data source scope.
Object Searches
Search suggestions also include relevant Boards that have already been created. This means if a Board already exists that is similar to the analysis you are trying to perform, it will appear as a search suggestion.
