In Trends AI, your searches use columns defined as either attributes or measures. The columns you select significantly impact your search results because various chart types expect a specific number of attributes and measures.

Attributes

Attributes are primarily text, shown as blue, or date values, shown as purple. They typically form the x-axis of your charts. Think of attributes as characteristics that describe the data. Examples include a donor's name, donor's address, is recurring, is refunded, etc.

Measures

Measures are numeric values, shown as green, that you can perform mathematical calculations on with meaningful results. You will generally find your measures on the y-axis of your charts. Measures are quantifiable and aggregate data. Examples include amount, fee, GrowCurve Payment, etc.

Query Details

After or while conducting a search, you can see exactly how Trends AI generated the result.

  1. Select the Query details button on the right side of the screen.

  2. The Query details panel will open.
