Moving from one app developer to another is no small decision, so we want to make it easy for you and your app users! By following the steps below, our team can replace your previous app with your new Subsplash App, ensuring that your brand new app simply shows up as an app update for your users within their respective app stores!
If you are moving from Custom Church Apps (CCA) to Subsplash, you don't need to worry about these steps, as our team has already been instructed and equipped to take care of this transition on your behalf!
Apple App Transfer
1a. If you are already on your own Apple Developer Account and your app is already stored on that account, then you are done with Step 1!
1b. If you are moving from another developer, but you do not yet have your own developer account, you will first need to go through the process of creating and setting up your own Apple Developer Account. Once finished, you will need to reach out to your old developer and request that they transfer your old app, to your new developer account. If you have any questions, you can reach out to Apple support here.
2. Once your app is stored on your own developer account, all you need to do is let us know when you're ready to submit your new Subsplash App to the app stores. Our team will take it from there!
Google App Transfer
1a. If you are already on your own Google Developer Account and your app is already stored on that account, then you're already done with Step 1!
1b. If you are moving from another developer, but you do not yet have your own developer account, you will first need to go through the process of creating and setting up your own Google Play Developer Account. Once finished, you will need to reach out to your old developer and request that they transfer your old app, to your new developer account. Click here to learn more about how to transfer your app!
2. Once your app is stored on your own Google Play developer account, we just need a little more information from your original developer in order to proceed. You will need to ask your developer for this information:
Your app's Keystore file (.keystore or .jks). This will be an actual file, so you will probably find this attached to the email in their response!
Keystore values:
Keystore Alias
Keystore Password
Some developers may not be willing to provide this information, as it does contain sensitive data related to their app development practices. If the developer is unable to provide this information, Subsplash cannot replace your Google app.
3. Once you've acquired this information, all you need to do is let us know and provide for us the requested information once you're ready to submit your new Subsplash App to the app stores. Our team will take it from there!
