We're excited to announce powerful new capabilities within the People section of your Subsplash Dashboard! You can now use Advanced Filtering to create highly specific lists of people, send Targeted Emails directly to those filtered groups, and Export that data for external use.
Here’s how to leverage these features:
Accessing the this feature is on the People section of your dashboard, simply navigate to the People section using the main menu on the left-hand side of your dashboard and click on All People.
Using Advanced Filters
While you still have the basic sorting options (Newest, Oldest, Modified By), you'll now see an additional Filter button or section. Click this to reveal the advanced criteria.
You can filter your people based on a variety of fields, including:
Standard fields like: Membership Status, Age, Birthday, and Adults with Children (you can get specific grade level or age of children).
Any Custom Fields you've created (like "T-shirt Size," "Volunteer Role," etc.).
Applying Filters:
Select the field you want to filter by (e.g.,
Membership Status
).Choose the specific value(s) (e.g.,
Member
).You can combine multiple filters to create very targeted lists. For example, you could filter for people where
Membership Status
isMember
ANDAdults with Children
includes3rd Grade
.
Once you apply the filter(s), the list below will automatically update to show only the individuals who match your selected criteria.
Emailing Your Filtered List
After applying your desired filters, you will see an option to Email the resulting group. Click this button.
An email composition window will open. It will show how many people from your filtered list will receive the email.
You have several options here:
Additional Recipients: Add any extra email addresses manually in the designated field if needed.
From Address: Change the sender email address if necessary.
Reply-To Address: Specify the email address where replies should be sent.
Subject & Body: Enter your email subject and compose your message.
Once your email is ready, you can send it directly to the targeted group.
Exporting Your Filtered List
With your filtered list displayed, click the Export button.
Your web browser will automatically download a CSV file.
This CSV file contains the profile data for only the people included in your current filtered list.
You can open this file using spreadsheet software like Microsoft Excel (and others) to analyze, create reports, or edit data in bulk to reimport into the Subsplash dashboard.

If you already have People data and would like to update information in bulk, follow the below steps:
Create any New custom fields you would like to include in the import.
Export your People data (the CSV should include custom field definitions).
Fill in your People field data on the CSV document for all applicable contacts & save.
import your updated CSV document into Subsplash ensuring to keep the
profile_id
column. The profile id will be what’s used to match an existing person so we don’t create a duplicate
These features allow for much more targeted communication and data management. You can easily reach specific segments of your community (like parents of third graders who are members, or everyone who needs a large and utilize your People data in flexible ways.
