In Subsplash, the Trends AI feature allows you to change the options for any axis directly within the chart. Selecting the axis opens the detailed customization menu in the chart. You can make changes such as filtering, conditional formatting, sorting, and more.
Change the Axis Aggregate
To change how the data on the axis is aggregated, select the Aggregate option in the axis menu and then choose an alternative from the list. The available aggregation options depend on the data type and other settings. Options can include Total, Average, Minimum, Maximum, Total Count, Unique Count, Standard Deviation, and Variance.
Add, Change, and Remove Filters
To manage the filters applied to the axis, follow these steps:
Select the Filters option in the axis menu.
In the window that appears, select + Add condition.
The options here include equal to, not equal to, greater than, greater than or equal to, less than, less than or equal to, and between.
Set the value.
To add another filter condition, select + Add condition.
To remove a filter condition, select the X to the right of the condition.
Once you have your conditions set, select Apply.
To remove a filter from the chart, select the X on the filter tile.
Apply Conditional Formatting
You can apply conditional formatting to an axis to highlight certain values. Follow these steps:
Select the Conditional formatting option in the axis menu.
In the conditional formatting window, select the column you want to add the conditional formatting to.
Select the conditional range and set the value.
To specify a different color for the conditional format, select the new color from the color selector. This option draws upper and lower limit lines on the chart, and colors the chart elements that meet the conditional requirements.
To add another condition, select + Add condition.
To remove a defined conditional format, select "Delete" to the right of the condition.
Once your formatting is set, select Save.
Change the Sort
To change the sorting of a measure on an axis, select the Sort option in the axis menu and choose an option from the list.
Change the Position of the Axis
It's helpful to display axes that use the same units of measurement or scale on the same side of the chart for easier interpretation. To change the position of an axis, select the Position option in the axis menu and then choose an option for the position.
Edit the Axis
When you choose to edit the axis, you get a comprehensive view of everything that can be changed on the axis. Select Edit in the axis menu.
You can configure the axis name, position, and the minimum and maximum values. You can also format the category of the column and its units.
Remove the Axis
To remove an axis, follow these steps:
Select the axis.
In the axis menu, select Remove.
The Edit chart menu appears. The removed axis will appear in the Not visualized section of the menu. Click Apply to reload the chart with your changes.
