The waterfall chart is designed to clearly illustrate how an initial metric value is influenced by a series of intermediate positive (increases) or negative (decreases) values.

Waterfall charts are excellent for visualizing positive and negative growth over a period of time, making them a good choice for use with the growth over time keyword. The individual columns are color-coded to easily differentiate between positive increases and negative decreases.

To create a waterfall chart, your Chart Builder must include at least one attribute and one measure.
