To facilitate child check-in, you’ll need to make sure you have the right hardware. We understand that many churches will have unique combinations of equipment to best meet their need, but at a minimum, you’ll need the following:

At least one iPad

  • An iPad running iPad OS 13 or later

While we currently support all iPads running iPad OS 13 or later, we recommend using the latest models to ensure longevity and future feature support.

A supported label printer

Models ending with “c” are the newer and faster versions of their older counterparts. The primary difference between the 820 & 810 models is that 820 printers provide an LCD screen that makes setup much simpler.

Labels in your printer

We recommend DK-1202 due to its significantly faster printing.

A 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network

  • A 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network that your iPad and Printer can both connect to.

  • You will need your Wi-Fi SSID (network name) and password (network key) of your Wi-Fi access point/router.

Brother printers require a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network to connect. If your network only supports 5 GHz, we recommend purchasing a Wi-Fi repeater (access point) that can broadcast your existing network as a new 2.4 GHz signal. Purchase a repeater/access point on Amazon

Large objects, walls, and interference from other electronic devices can affect communication between your iPad and Printer.
