Setting up your iPad Station
In the sidebar within Events select "Check-in", then select "Set up a new device".
Once you've selected "Set up a new device" follow the prompts that appear on the screen.
Scan the QR code using the built-in camera app.
This will take you to the App Store to download the new Check-in app, and once installed will begin the setup process.
If you can't see the device setup screen due to permissions, follow these steps.
Setting up your Printing Station
Once you open the app on your iPad it should automatically begin setup, but if it doesn't choose "Get Started" and then "Scan My Code"
If you can't use your camera, choose "Enter code manually" and select "Use a setup code" on the dashboard.
This will allow you to manually enter your App Key and Setup Code.
Once you've either scanned or entered your setup code you need to choose your Check-in Station.
If you haven't created a Check-in station yet, follow this guide and then come back to complete the rest.
Next, choose the Wi-Fi printer (AirPrint) option.
Next, select the "Turn on Push notifications" button.
Select your printer from the "Select a printer" dropdown menu.
If your printer doesn't appear on the list, please visit the Brother support site on how to configure your printer model for wireless printing.
Next, select the appropriate label size from the drop-down and attempt to print a test label.
If you successfully print a test label, tap the "complete setup" button on-screen.
Lastly, click on "Start Check-in Mode" in the top left corner and select the Event that you'd like to check in to.
How do I differentiate between my separate printers?
You can add a differentiating field to your printer through the Brother Printers web management page, under Airprint there is a section where you can specify a location. The value placed in this field will show in parenthesis next to the model of the printer when selecting available printers. You can read more about this in the Brother article linked HERE.
Why can't I configure my station?
If you are unable to see the "Set up a new device" screen, you should receive a pop-up with instructions on how to move forward.
The two steps to continue are:
Have one of the admins listed on the pop-up setup on the Check-in station
Have one of the admins listed grant you permission to continue the setup yourself
