In this article we're going to outline a number of different settings available to you in your Giving Dashboard's settings page.

Giving Links & Embeds

In this section, you'll find the ability to locate, generate, and copy any links or embeds you might use to add Subsplash Giving to your website or to distribute to your donors. You can think of this section as being divided into two generators, your Basic Giving Links & the Custom Link Generator.

  1. Basic Giving Links - Used to generate a link or embed that will use your default giving account settings. By default, the gift amount will be preset to $0, the frequency of the gift will be preset to one-time, and the fund will be preset to the fund that is at the top of your Funds page (found here).

  2. Custom Link Generator - This generator will allow you to preset the link or embed with the fund, amount, and frequency of your choice. Note: You can create as many custom links as you'd like. Creating a link will not change or break any pre-existing links you might have created in the past.

For both link generators, you have the ability to select your link Type. As you toggle the link type, you will notice that the link to the right will change as well.

These link types include:

  1. Standalone Link - Directs donors to the default donor giving page.

  2. Embed Link - Similar to the Standalone Link, but stripped of any branding for auto-embedding tools like Wix or for those who wish to develop their own embed manually.

  3. iFrame Embed - Used to embed Subsplash Giving on your website. Enter the code that is generated, within the custom HTML/code section of your website builder.

  4. Kiosk - Used for basic public giving terminals, like setting up an iPad in your church lobby. This link is set so that donors are automatically logged out after giving. Place this link in your kiosk device's browser and you're good to go!

Custom Theme

You can use the custom theme editor to set up your donor giving page so that it matches your organization's branding. You have the option of adding a custom banner image, text, and colors.

  1. Banner Image - Upload an image of your choice. Be sure to use JPG or PNG (no transparent backgrounds) and make sure that your image is 1920x652 px to ensure that no part of your image is cropped.

  2. Colors - Set the theme colors of your donor giving page. Tip: Do not set the Primary or Donation Confirmation Text colors to white, as it will render links and options as invisible against the white background.

  3. Banner Text - Set a basic text to lay overtop your banner image. If you wish to use a different font, we recommend checking the "Hide Banner Text" option and utilizing a service like Canva to include indicate text in your Banner Image instead.

  4. Dark Donor Login - Toggle your donor login icon between dark or white by checking this box. This helps ensure that the login icon is visible against dark and light banner images or header colors accordingly.

  5. Preview - View your changes in real-time! Use the desktop/mobile switcher at the top of the preview box to view your donor giving page in the corresponding device dimensions.

Enable/Disable Giving

This feature allows you to toggle Subsplash Giving off or on from the side menu of your Subsplash App. This will not disable or enable Subsplash Giving as a whole.

Note: This feature will have no effect on The Church App, only custom branded apps.

Optional Sidebar Features

In the Optional Sidebar Features, you'll find the ability to toggle on Campus Management, which is an optional Giving feature.

Once you check the box to turn on Campuses, simply refresh your browser and you'll find the features underneath the Giving dropdown on the left-hand side.

  • Campus Management - Used much like Funds, campus management allows you to set up the different campuses for your organization and which funds are associated with each of these campuses. To learn more about Campus Management, click here!

Donor Settings

A few options for your donor experience can be found on this page as well. Allowing you to craft the giving experience that best serves your church.

  1. Donor payment methods - You can select which payment methods are available to your donors. Note: ACH is not available in Canada, so you will want to make sure that ACH is turned off if your organization based in Canada.

  2. Donor Memo - Allow your donors to include a note or a message with their gift.

  3. Donors can help cover fees - Donors can increase the size of their gift, to help offset the cost of fees. To learn more about this, click here!

  4. Donors must manually choose a fund - When this is enabled, your donor will need to select a fund before proceeding with their gift instead of having a default fund selected for them.

Time Zone

Last but not least, you can manage your system's time zone by using this dropdown to ensure that end-of-year gifts are accurate according to your church's location!
