An Anchor is used to create links to specific sections on your page. These can be extremely useful when directing users to a particular heading or feature on a page. Anchor Links become the backbone of navigation when creating a one-page website!
You can read more about creating a one-page website on our blog here!
Creating an Anchor
The first step is to create a section you would like to anchor to on your page. If this is new to you, check out our section overview article. Once your section is created, then adding an Anchor is easy. Just drag and drop an Anchor block into your desired section. Next, type a name for the Anchor for reference. The Anchor name must be alphanumeric characters only.
The Anchor can now be linked from anywhere on your site by using the Block options:
Add a button Block to a page.
Open up the button Block options.
Select 'Link' and click on Content. (You’ll see the Anchor emblem there.)
Linking Anchors
When linking from one page to an Anchor on a different page follow the steps below:
Create the hyperlink.
Include the "#" symbol before the title of the anchor.
Example link: /pagetitle#anchortitle
And that's it! You've created a functioning Anchor on your site!
