From time to time, online payment processing regulations change, which means Subsplash needs to provide additional information about your organization to the powers that be.
This doesn't necessarily mean you've missed any information during setup or done anything wrong—it's just that the world of payment regulation is always evolving, and sometimes we need additional documentation to prove you are who you say you are.
Occasionally, we will reach out to you to verify your account information. This information can vary and requirements can change rapidly, which is why we have chosen to communicate this need to you quickly via the Giving Dashboard.
Whenever you have information that needs verification, you'll see messages like this in your Dashboard:
Clicking on the "Update information in Stripe" button will take you to a form hosted on Stripe, our back-end processor, where you can securely fill out the specific information needed to update your account. This secure site could also ask you to provide part or all of your Social Security Number as part of its verification process.
We partner with Stripe to power Subsplash Giving, so you can rest assured knowing your information is secure by providing it in this form.
The information requested can vary based on the situation, but will often be easy to fill out by you or your account owner. Providing this information helps us prove your organization is legally allowed to collect charitable donations.
Thank you for completing these requests in a timely fashion, so we can keep your gifts flowing and continue to fuel your mission through Subsplash Giving.
