Adding your live stream to your TV apps is a great way to engage with your audience who love to experience content on the large screen. It is also a great tool if you have TVs in your church foyer or lobby and easy to put up your live stream for others to tune in!

There are two ways to achieve this so pick the category you fall into!

Subsplash Live

If you are using Subsplash Live to stream out to your community you can follow these instructions to add the stream to your TV apps:

  1. Make sure you have a Live Stream scheduled, check out this article if you are unsure how to do so.

  2. Head to Apps > TV Apps and let's review what you have selected to be your Content Source (Note the content source will need to be a List if you wish to add the Live Stream directly to your feed)

  3. Next head to Library and then Lists to find your Content Source (ours is labeled "TV App Content" in this case)

  4. From here, you have two options to add your Live Stream,

    1. First will be to add the item directly to the list which can be done by clicking "Add Item" select "Live Stream" and then select "Upcoming Live Stream" which is dynamic!

    2. Second, our recommendation is to add the Live Stream to the TV app featured header. Head to Design on the left-hand side then select TV and follow the same steps from above:

  5. Lastly, just head to your TV apps and check out your live stream next time you go live!

Third-Party Live Streams

If you are using a third-party live stream provider you will want to follow these steps below to add a stream to your TV apps:

  1. First, you will want to follow along with this article to set up your third-party live stream in the Subsplash Dashboard.

  2. The steps for this part are a little different from above as we are now using a Media Item, go ahead and find your TV app content source using the steps from above.

  3. From here you have two options to add your Media Item,

    1. First will be to add the item directly to the list which can be done by clicking "Add Item" select "Media Item" and then find the Media Item you created to hold your third-party live stream.

    2. The second, and our recommendation, is to add the Media Item to the TV apps featured header. Head to Design on the left-hand side then select TV and follow the same steps from the first step prior to this.

  4. Lastly, head to your TV apps and open up your Media Item and any time you are live you can view it from there!
