We receive a lot of great feedback from clients regarding new features and improvements to existing features. In the past, each request was submitted to Support; but now, we've made it easier than ever for you to be involved in the process using the Subsplash Assistant. You can now:
Explore the complete list of submitted feature requests
Participate in prioritizing improvements by voting on requests
Discover which requests are in progress or completed
Follow specific requests to get notified about their developments
Submit new feature requests and watch as they begin acquiring votes
All of this without leaving your Subsplash Dashboard! Here's a guide to help you get started.
View Existing Requests
To access the Subsplash Assistant, click the ? icon in the lower-right corner of any page in the Subsplash Dashboard. After it opens, click the Give Feedback near the bottom in the Home tab.
By default, the requests will be listed by what is trending; however, you may adjust the sort and filter options to change which requests are displayed. You can also use the search button to search for a specific request. If a request catches your eye, you can click on it to read more or even leave a comment for our team.
Vote on a Request
Whether you're looking at the full list of requests or the details of a specific request, you'll see a small counter showing the current number of votes for that request. To add your vote, click the counter. After clicking the counter, it will turn blue and the number of votes will increase! You can vote on as many requests as you'd like, but you can only vote on each request once.
Though you can vote on as many requests as you want, it's important to think carefully about which requests are most important to you, and only vote for those!
Follow a Request
When you vote on a request, you will automatically be notified when a new comment is added or the status of the request changes (e.g. when our development team marks the request as "planned").
Comment on a Request
In addition to voting for a request, you may also leave a comment for our Product Team! This is a great place to share your specific use case or make additions to a current request. At times, our Product Team may comment on a feature request asking for additional details to help them gather more information.
View Planned, In Progress, or Completed Requests
When viewing the list of requests, click on the sort and filter options at the top of the list to filter by status. The available status filters are:
Planned: while work hasn't started yet, we intend to complete this request soon.
In Progress: we've started working on this request.
Completed: the requested improvement is available now!
Alternatively, you can select My Own to view the requests you have submitted.
The lists of planned or in-progress requests aren't exhaustive; there's a lot more going on behind the scenes than what you may see there!
Submit a New Request
Please search before submitting a new request - be sure to use Subsplash terminology as it might have a different name than what you think.
With a request in mind, please search to see if the request already exists. If you have not found a related request, submit a new request by clicking the + button! Your request will need a short title that summarizes the core idea and a description containing additional details. We look forward to the great ideas you submit!
Writing a good request is vital to helping your request be seen—and voted on—by others! Here are some tips for writing great requests:
The title should be short and clear, ideally 10 words or fewer.
The description should describe your idea, what it will solve, how it would benefit your organization/admins/users, and ideally an example of a solution.
Often, there are multiple ways to articulate an idea. If there are keywords that you would use to search for the request, try to incorporate them when writing the request!
A screenshot can enhance the visual aspect of your idea; however, don't forget to include a comprehensive written description.
