Editing the layout of a Board lets you snap visualizations into place and change the visualization size. Visualizations within a Board are easy to move around and snap into place on a relative flow layout, which helps keep the layout of your Board neat and organized. Your Board layout reacts to your browser width. If you decrease the width of your browser, a horizontal scroll bar appears at the bottom edge of your screen.
Reorder the visualizations
You can reorder the visualizations in a Board by dragging and dropping them while in Edit mode. To change the visualization layout, follow these steps:
Navigate to the Board you would like to edit.
Select the Edit button at the upper right of the Board.
Click and drag any visualization to new positions in the Board.
Move a visualization to a different tab
If your Board has multiple tabs, you can move the visualizations between tabs. To move visualizations to new tabs, follow these steps:
Select the Edit button at the upper right of the Board.
Select the visualization you want to move.
Select the Move to button. This option is not available if the Board has only one tab or if the Board has no tabs.
Select the tab to move the visualization to from the list of tabs in the Board.
Select Move.
Select Save in the top menu to save your changes.
Change the size of a visualization
You can customize your Board visualizations to be any size. You can also use the size picker at the bottom of a visualization’s More menu to choose between predetermined sizes for each visualization. To edit a visualization's size, follow these steps:
Navigate to the Board you would like to edit.
Select the Edit button at the upper right of the Board.
Click and hold any corner or side of a visualization, and drag the visualization to the correct size using your mouse.
Alternatively, you can select one of the predetermined sizes by selecting the visualization’s Tile size menu and choosing one of the preset options.
Select Save in the top right to save your changes.
Delete a visualization from your Board
To delete a visualization:
Navigate to the Board that contains the visualization you would like to delete.
Select the Edit button at the upper right of the Board.
Select the visualization you would like to delete.
Click the Delete icon.
Select Save in the top menu bar.
Make a copy of a visualization from your Board
You may see a visualization that you would like to edit or filter, without editing or filtering the Board. To do this, you can make a copy of a visualization. The copy you create takes into account the Board filters that apply to the visualization. To edit a copy of a visualization, follow these steps:
Navigate to the Board that contains the visualization you would like to copy.
In the upper-right corner of the visualization of which you would like to make a copy, click the More menu icon.
Select Make a copy. A copy of the Chart opens with "Copy of" added to the beginning of the title.
Make any changes you want to the visualization.
Click the More menu icon and select Save.
Change the name and description, as needed, and select Save Chart. When you navigate back to the Charts page, your edited Chart appears in the list.
Board tabs
You may want to separate your Board into multiple tabs, grouping certain visualizations together in each tab. To add tabs, follow these steps:
Select the Edit button at the upper right of the Board.
Select Tab in the top menu.
This will automatically create a new, empty tab. Click the dropdown arrow next to the tab name to rename or delete the tab.
Other Board edits
You can find more actions under the More menu for the Board, or under the More menu for each visualization. The options may also differ in view and edit mode.
For example, in View mode for a Board, the Board allows you to rename the Board, download the Board as a PDF, and so on. The Rename option also allows you to edit the object description. In Edit mode, the Board only allows you to edit the content of the Board.
In View mode, the visualization's More menu allows you to rename the visualization, download it, and more. The Rename option also allows you to edit the object description. In Edit mode, the visualization only allows you to move it to another tab, delete it, or change its size.
