Overview of the Subsplash + StudioC Integration

Connect StudioC and Subsplash to bring personalized discipleship guidance into your church's app.

Written by Cody Walton

Connect StudioC and Subsplash to turn your app into a personalized discipleship hub, where every member sees their own next step.

StudioC is a member engagement platform built to help churches move people from attenders to disciples. Subsplash is where your people already are: your app, your media, your giving, and your groups. Bringing the two together puts StudioC's personalized guidance in front of your congregation in the place they already open most.

Important: StudioC is a partner platform, not a Subsplash plugin. There is nothing to install from a plugin marketplace. What you are enabling is a combination of in-app placement of the StudioC Member Dashboard and, optionally, shared login with single sign-on.

What is StudioC?

StudioC is a member engagement platform for churches. It helps churches understand where people are in their journey, define meaningful next steps, and guide them toward deeper engagement through data, strategy, communication, and discipleship.

Alongside the Member Dashboard, StudioC also offers analytics across a wide set of engagement metrics, donor health insights, custom dashboards, and consulting services.

The Member Dashboard

The centerpiece of StudioC, and the part that appears in your Subsplash app, is the Member Dashboard: a personalized web experience unique to each person who opens it. It typically includes:

  • Engagement badges representing your church's core next steps, such as Baptism, Worship Attendance, Groups, Serving, and Giving

  • "For You" messaging with personalized prompts and invitations based on where someone is in their journey

  • News & Events that keep church-wide announcements in the same feed

Badge and personalization data comes from StudioC's own data systems, not from Subsplash.

The two levels of integration

Many churches start with the first option and add the second later.

  • Member Dashboard in-app: Add the dashboard as a Browser Tab. Members log in to StudioC separately. Self-service in your Subsplash Dashboard, with no additional fee. See StudioC Member Dashboard for setup steps.

  • Member Dashboard + SSO: Members log in once and the dashboard opens already authenticated. Requires the appropriate Subsplash package and a signed statement of work, coordinated between your team, StudioC, and Subsplash. See StudioC Single Sign-On (SSO) for setup steps, requirements, and planning considerations.

What this integration does not do today

This integration is powerful, but it is helpful to understand its current boundaries as you plan your rollout.

  • The dashboard is a web page, not a native screen. The Member Dashboard loads in your app's internal browser. It is not the same as a fully native app page.

  • There is no ongoing profile sync. A member's Subsplash profile and StudioC profile are separate records. StudioC SSO populates the Subsplash profile once, at the moment of login — it is not a continuous sync, and changes made afterward in one system do not update the other. This is separate from, and should not be confused with, the bi-directional Planning Center Online giving-integration sync, which is a different feature entirely.

  • Logout happens through the app. Logging out should happen through your app's profile page rather than through the StudioC web experience inside the app.

  • Subsplash does not power the badge data. The engagement badges and personalized dashboard content come from StudioC's own data systems and connected sources.

  • Custom profile experiences may require additional StudioC work. Some profile-related experiences inside the app may depend on StudioC building and supporting that content on their side.
