Now that you are on your own Apple Developer account, you may receive emails from time to time. Fortunately, with Subsplash as an Admin on your account, there's no need to worry about the vast majority of these emails.

You do not need to take any action if you receive an email about any of the items below. Subsplash has either received the notice and will take action on your behalf or there is no action required.

  • Action Needed: Apple Push Services Certificate Expires in 30 Days

  • iOS Distribution Certificate Expires in 30 Days

  • Potential Loss of Keychain Access

  • The status of your (iOS) app, _____ , is now "Waiting for Review"

  • SubscriptionPricePoints endpoint now requires a territory filter

  • Action Required: Apple Push Notification Service Server Certificate Update

  • Action required: Answer the updated age rating questions.

Emails from Apple requiring your action

Renewing your membership

Once a year, Apple requires you to log in and agree to be a developer for another year. When it's time for renewal, please log in to developer.apple.com and follow the instructions on the banner!

Accepting new Agreements and Licenses for App Store Connect

A few times a year, Apple releases a new Program License Agreement that needs to be accepted by the Account Holder. When the time comes, please log in to developer.apple.com and follow the instructions on the banner!

Trader Status

If you represent a non-profit, you are most likely not a Trader. Follow these steps to update your trader status with Apple:

  1. Log in using your Apple ID credentials.

  2. After logging in, navigate to the Business section.

  3. Locate and click on the red prompt to address compliance requirements.

  4. Choose the option: "I'm not a trader under the DSA".

And that's it! You have successfully updated your trader status. If you encounter any issues, feel free to contact our support team for assistance.

Once the Trader Status declaration is complete, Apple will automatically reinstate your app in the EU region within 24 hours.

Billing

If you have a paid developer account (for Profit companies/organizations), you may receive emails regarding updating the payment method for the account. Follow the instructions in the email to keep your account up to date.

Google

For most emails regarding account updates, policy changes, or new account features, our team will handle them for you.

You do not need to take any action if you receive an email about any of the items below. Subsplash has either received the notice and will take action on your behalf, or there is no action required as long as your Google Developer account is verified and we have the appropriate permissions.

  • Required actions to comply with the Photo and Video Permissions policy

  • Your app is affected by Google Play's target API level requirements

  • Your app is affected by Google Play's 16 KB page size requirements

  • Invalid Data deletion link on your Data Safety form

  • Complete Your App’s Financial Features

  • Introducing Play Age Signals API (beta): Supporting you through app store bills in U.S. states

  • New Android developer verification requirements

    • "We’re writing to update you that Google will be introducing new Android requirements for developers to verify their identity and app ownership."

    • There is a possibility you will need to take action in March 2026, but for now, there is no action required.

Emails from Google requiring your action

Now available: Complete Android developer verification requirements in Play Console

Once you receive an automatic registration email from Play, log in to your Google developer account at play.google.com/console. You should see a banner at the top of the page informing you if your app has been automatically registered.

If you see this notice, your registration was completed automatically, and no further action is required.

If you see a notice that your app was not registered automatically, then reach out to Support, and we can see if further action is needed.

Google Play Console Verification

Google Play has released verification requirements to all existing Google Play developers who created their Play Console account. For information on how to verify your account, see Verifying your Google Play Console Account

Unable to verify Google Play Console

Due to various reasons, Google may not be able to verify your Play Console account. Please follow these instructions to resolve these issues: Troubleshooting Rejected Google Play Console Verification

Your Developer account is at risk of being closed because it's not being used (OR) 30 days to fix issues with your Play Console developer account

Google marks developer accounts as inactive and queues them for closure based on the following criteria:

An inactive developer account without apps

  • The developer account was created more than a year ago.

  • It has never submitted an app for review.

An inactive developer account with apps

  • The developer account was created more than a year ago.

  • All published apps (including live, removed, and suspended apps) in the account have less than 1,000 combined lifetime installs.

  • It has not verified their Play Developer account phone number and contact email address.

  • It has not used Play Console in the last 180 days.

If you receive an email notification from Google stating that your developer account is at risk of closing, please complete the following steps:

  • If you haven’t done so yet, log into your Google Play Console Developer account and verify your email address and phone number on the Account details page. You should receive an email confirmation after doing so.

  • Request an update to your existing app on Google Play if the app hasn’t been updated in more than a year. Once requested, reach out to Support so we can ensure the update happens before your account closes.
