When building your mobile app, web app, and podcast channels, please remember to respect copyrights, trademarks, and app store policies.

Apple, Google, Microsoft, and Amazon take copyright and trademark infringement seriously. The Subsplash Terms of Service, which you have already agreed to, prohibits the display or use of content for which you do not own the rights. Failure to abide by this will result in your app being removed from the app stores. We need your help in this endeavor to ensure that your apps and content will be available in the major app stores and on the web for years to come.

Avoiding Copyright Infringement

Respect Copyright laws:

Do not let your app, web app, and podcast infringe on the copyrights of others.

Play fair and stay safe:

When you upload and display content, please avoid content that may be protected by trademark or copyright and get legal advice if necessary. Protected content could typically include movies, videos, images, posters, music, and similar works.

Create original work:

The best approach for abiding by copyright law is to create your own content. By doing that, you rarely have to worry about infringing on existing copyrights.

Ask permission to use copyrighted work:

If you want to use another party's copyrighted work in your channels, you should ask for permission from the work's creator or copyright owner and include appropriate copyright attribution.

Examples of what to avoid:

Don’t use logos, images, or content that may belong to someone else:

Don’t alter existing logos, images, or content that may belong to someone else.

Don’t create logos or images that are confusingly similar to other logos or images that do not belong to your organization.
